Lyrics of Like Box

Just because I was so very clueless about how to put a “Like” box from Facebook in my WordPress blog, I thought I’d post how I did it.  It’s fairly simple, but I don’t want to leave any stone unturned.  I mean, I’m 27 and a lot of this stuff is beyond me.

1. Facebook prompts you to add a “Like” box when you start a new page. Make sure that under the URL you put your Facebook page’s URL.  (Heh, I kinda forgot my first time around.)  You can also Google the “Like Box Generator” if you want.

2. Facebook generates the code. I went with the XMBFL because I read that it was faster.  Copy your code and have your WordPress dashboard open in another page.

3.  Find “Widgets” under Appearance Menu. Look for a widget called “Text”.  When you add it, or hit the little down arrow, it should open up a place to paste text.  Do so.  Save it.

Enjoy your Like box!

About coyoteclockwork

I currently live near Salt Lake City, Utah, a dinosaur mecca! I write and illustrate YA fantasy books. I grew up in Texas on five acres, training dogs to pull carts and riding horses. I am largely self-taught as an artist, and prefer digital media. I just released my first big indy novel with the help of Kickstarter: a full color dinosaur novel with 100+ illustrations, Mark of the Conifer.
